How it helps

Support where pregnancy asks the most.

Pilates, barre and gentle myofascial release working together to keep you moving comfortably — through pregnancy, into labour, and beyond.

Core & pelvic floor

Build deep core and pelvic-floor awareness — the quiet foundations for a more comfortable pregnancy and recovery.

Posture & less ache

Strengthen glutes and upper back and improve alignment, to counter the back and hip discomfort pregnancy can bring.

Release & ease

Gentle myofascial release for hips, lower back, ribcage and shoulders — a lighter, less "compressed" feeling and better sleep.

Balance & confidence

Improve balance and body awareness, so everyday movement feels steadier and more assured as your bump grows.

Breath & calm

Simple breathing and lengthening strategies that settle the nervous system — useful in class, in daily life, and in labour.

Stamina for labour

Support the stamina, circulation and body awareness that carry through into labour and recovery.

Safe hands

Expert-led, and shaped around your pregnancy.

Physiotherapist-led

Amanda is a qualified physiotherapist as well as a barre and Pilates teacher, so movement is adapted safely — around pregnancy, and around you. Share your stage and anything your midwife or GP has flagged, and she'll take care of the rest.

From around 14 weeks

Most mothers-to-be join from around 14 weeks, though it depends on your individual pregnancy. Not sure whether it's the right time? Just ask — and it's always worth a quick check with your midwife or GP if you'd like reassurance first.

Good to know

Your questions, answered.

How far along should I be to start?

Most mothers-to-be join from around 14 weeks — the start of the second trimester — but it really depends on your individual pregnancy. If you're unsure, get in touch, and it's always worth a quick word with your midwife or GP.

Is it safe?

Yes. Every class is pregnancy-safe and physio-led, with movement adapted for your trimester and how you're feeling. Please let Amanda know your stage and anything relevant about your pregnancy so she can look after you properly.

I've never done Pilates or barre — can I still come?

Absolutely — no experience needed. Classes are gentle, fully explained and adapted to you, and pregnancy is a perfectly good time to start moving mindfully. If you're not used to exercising, we'll start with a one-to-one session first, so we can safely assess your effort zone before you join the group. And in prenatal Pilates & barre we use weights, balls and other small props — so you can choose whether to stay in your safe zone, your play zone or your challenge zone, whatever feels right that day.

What should I wear and bring?

Comfortable clothes you can move in, grippy socks or bare feet, and a water bottle. Mats and small equipment are provided — bring any extra support, like a cushion, that helps you feel comfortable.

What about after the baby arrives?

When you're ready, Amanda can support your recovery too, through gentle return-to-movement and 1:1 sessions. Do chat to her about the right time and starting point for you.
