Starting from scratch
New to movement and would like a confident, unhurried start — building the basics with someone watching your form.
New to itPersonalised movement, designed entirely around you — your body, your history, your goals.
One-to-one sessions blend Pilates or barre with myofascial technique, shaped around whatever matters most to you. With a physiotherapist's eye on every movement, it's the most tailored way to work with me.
The focus is defined by you — this is your body, your pace, your session.
Personalised sessions blending Pilates or barre with myofascial technique, designed around your goals. The emphasis is yours to set — it might be alignment, core strength, balance or muscular endurance — using the barre, light weights and your own bodyweight to build control that supports everyday movement.

One-to-one sessions suit all sorts of people and goals. A few of the most common reasons to book.
New to movement and would like a confident, unhurried start — building the basics with someone watching your form.
New to itReturning after injury, illness, surgery or pregnancy, and wanting to rebuild strength carefully and at your own pace.
RebuildingTraining for an event or sport, or chasing down a stubborn niggle — with a plan built around exactly that.
Goal-focusedYou'd simply rather have focused, one-to-one guidance than move within a group — and progress faster for it.
PrivateA session or two to assess your effort zones and settle any nerves before joining the open classes or a course.
Before a classLiving with hypermobility, a health condition or a long-standing injury that needs movement adapted with a physio's eye.
AdaptedI combine physiotherapy training with sixteen years working alongside Pilates and barre clients — so a session can be built around your body, not the average. Injuries, health conditions, hypermobility and pregnancy recovery can all be worked with safely and thoughtfully.
For newcomers, Mat Pilates rather than external machines will help you develop control, coordination and a strong sense of where your body is in space. Mat Pilates is the original Pilates form, and it's harder than it sounds — your body is the load — which is exactly why it carries directly into everyday life.
Reformer sessions are on their way, designed for those already familiar with the Pilates mat repertoire. The machine uses a sliding carriage on rails with springs that provide variable resistance — which also makes it a valuable tool for rehabilitating injuries.
Sessions run at the studio in Brighton. Because every one is tailored, the best place to start is a quick message — tell me what you're hoping for and I'll come back with rates and availability.

None at all. A one-to-one is the ideal place to begin if you're completely new — we start exactly where you are and build from there, with no pace to keep up with but your own.
Yes — this is where the physiotherapy background really matters. Movement can be adapted around most injuries, conditions and hypermobility. Do share anything relevant when you get in touch, and check with your GP if you're ever unsure.
Either works. Some people come for a single session — to try things, or to prepare for a class — while others book a run of sessions to work towards a goal. We'll find what suits you.
Semi-private (2:1) sessions can sometimes be arranged, so you can share the focus — and the cost — with a friend or partner. Just ask when you get in touch and I'll let you know what's possible.
Absolutely — a session or two is a lovely way to build confidence, learn the foundations and set your effort zones before joining the open classes or a course.
